We don’t know a lot about the 2020 Ford Bronco yet, besides that it was officially confirmed at the 2017 North American International Auto Show after years of concept cars and teasers, but a lot of people are making guesses about it. Ford has given us a few clues about the Bronco’s future, so here’s all the 2020 Ford Bronco information we have.
The Ford Bronco was discontinued over 20 years ago, in 1996, after decades as a beloved off-roader. Ford understands that reputation, and has said that the 2020 Bronco will share some underpinnings with its solid European off-roader, the Everest, but will maintain elements of the unique and iconic styling of the 1990s Bronco. According to Maxim, Bronco6G has rendered a potential look for the Bronco that features boxy styling that nevertheless looks modern and sleek, yet rugged.
Classically a two-door SUV, the new Bronco will come with four doors in an effort to appeal to buyers, citing Jeep Wrangler sales that show the four-door Unlimited is its most popular configuration, in an effort to make the Bronco competitive in the off-road market. Rumors suggest the Bronco will keep up its tradition of having a removable top, likely an “Air Roof” that lets the owner remove several separate panels and store them in a dedicated storage space.
