As you’d expect from a city in New York, Buffalo is packed with can’t-miss 4th of July events. Which one are you going to? We at Dave Smith Ford suggest one of the following.

Lancaster Independence Days

The Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before the 4th—that’s June 30th through July 2nd—Lancaster is celebrating all weekend long with their annual festival, featuring a baby parade, carnival rides, and of course fireworks.

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra & Chorus Fireworks Show

Accompanied by the Buffalo Bisons after their game, the yearly tradition of a BPO performance free to the public that culminates in a stunning display of fireworks is one that can’t be missed. This year it happens on Monday, July 3rd.

Annual Canalside 4th of July Celebration

Join other Buffalo locals on the waterfront at Canalside for an evening of stunning fireworks. You can even join the tradition of other viewers who take their boats on the canal for a new kind of 4th of July experience.

Bonus: Sterling Renaissance Festival Opening

While it’s not Independence Day-themed, Sterling Renaissance Festival opens the weekend of July 2nd and 3rd, making it a great way for families to enjoy the weekend ahead of July 4th fireworks.

Make the most of Independence Day with these local 4th of July events near Buffalo, NY.
