This year, May happened to be a very good month for the Ford brand. The company hit high sales across the board, showing a 2.2% increase from its total sales in the same month last year, May 2016. This year, the Ford company sold a total of 241,126 vehicles in May 2017, and we’re happy to say that sales at Dave Smith Ford contributed to that number.

Fleet sales alone showed an 8.4% increase from their sales one year ago, while the Ford Edge specifically increased its sales by 11%. Every nook of the Ford brand’s lineups are doing well, including Lincoln, which has been on a winning streak with its 16th consecutive month of increased sales, up 9.7% this May.

The Ford F-Series had an exciting May as well. Ford F-Series sales show that not only are shoppers increasingly interested in these classic pickups, but that they’re also become more interested in investing in higher trims and more available technology and accessories. These assessments come from the fact that of the 76,027 F-Series vehicles sold by Ford this May, there was also a $3,300 increase in the average transaction. This number of Ford F-Series sold is up 12.8% from last month, and makes the best May for the Ford F-Series in 13 years.
