If there’s one thing Ford knows, it’s how to drop jaws. Ford’s newest supercar is turning back the clock and paying homage to one of the most powerful Ford supercars ever with the Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition.

While the GT has been around for a while, this all-new limited-edition GT is a way of reliving history and getting your heart racing. The Heritage Edition uses bold red colors, both on the inside and outside—the exterior features a distinctive white racing stripe down the hood while the interior has red accent stitching on leather seats.

This GT is based off of the very car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1967. In addition to the bright exterior colors that stand out, this car honors its racing ancestor by sporting a “No.1” on its hood and door.

This GT earns the title of “supercar” by coming with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers an astonishing 647 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque. All of that engine power, paired with the Heritage Edition’s other performance features, help it get to a maximum speed of 216 mph.

This blast from the past will only come in limited edition as part of the 2018 model GT release. So if you want to get your hands on the GT Heritage for yourself, act fast on this super-fast racecar. We here at Dave Smith Ford are certainly interested in this limited edition model!
